On May 29th, Potocki Palace hosted the sixth edition of Photobook Talks, bringing together four newly released publications from Rust Publishing for an evening centered on the making of photobooks — from first concept through editing, narrative structure, and final production choices. The event closed with the opening of Rust Publishing's new bookstore at Potocki Palace, launched in partnership with the Foundation for Visual Arts.
The evening's centerpiece was the premiere of Konrad Koźmiński's With Ghosts and Souls. Alongside it, the collective presented three additional titles: God's Children by Daria Izworska, Svijet by Dominik Wojciechowski, and Pidło by Łukasz Zając. Despite their distinct visual languages, the four books shared a common thread — treating the photobook as a self-contained space for storytelling and meaning-making, rather than simply a container for images.
Rather than focusing on the finished objects alone, the discussion turned inward, giving the audience a rare look at the decisions and processes that shaped each project before publication.
